FORGIVE YOURSELF

Believing that we are worthless and unwanted will have us doing some crazy stuff with crazy people. Feeling unloved will cause us to improperly love ourselves. Once we begin to heal, we realize, while in recovery, that forgiving ourselves for the mistreatment we accepted is all that we need.

Forgiveness of others is great, but being able to accept the part we played in our lack of worth, devalue, and failing to love ourselves, opens new doors and is a stepπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ in our journey to self- love and being our greatest selves.

I began to forgive myself when I knew I couldn’t sink any deeper. Sick from the memories of what I tried to make work, the love I gave that wasn’t reciprocated, the sacrifices that went unnoticed, and the heartbreaking πŸ’” 😒 πŸ˜” things I accepted for the sake of saving a love that wasn’t reciprocal, I finally forgave myself for years of failing to save me.

Finally walking away from physical abuse and toxic relationships and facing our mental health issues that allowed us to accept those situations, is key. Today, on this 16th Day of our Lenten journey, FORGIVE YOURSELF and begin to see a new you. You are worth so much more.

I am a recently single mother of four wonderful adult children. I love young people and have a passion for developing and motivating people. After spending over thirty years in the customer service industry, and my world was suddenly turned upside down, I found myself having to start my life over. Realizing that I could no longer maintain a healthy mental state while working with the public, I decided to use my passion for helping people and motivating US to turn our PAIN INTO POWER.
