As I gradually grow and GLOW through life, I realize that we will all experience STORYTELLERS. These are those who attempt to quell our voices, ignore our voices and struggles, become offended by our truth, and make every attempt to narrate our life. How can someone else narrate your life? The narrative created about YOUR life, is THEIR version of your story. They tell this version to prevent others from knowing the part THEY played. They never want to have” you‘ and” them” and the audience they tell their stories to, under the same roof. THEY don’t ever tell the REAL STORY. THEY ARE STORY TELLERS. THEY ARE AFRAID.
I never allow a storyteller to create my narrative. Lying on a person can damage character, destroy relationships, alienate others, fracture families, and create discord in places where discord and disharmony have no room. WE, in my opinion, should never allow others to tell our story. We all deserve to speak our own truth; not because we should care what others think, but because our integrity and character are all that we have to offer that really matters. In this day and time, people are hurting, afraid, and in need of love, yet so many are hesitant to trust for fear of betrayal. When others create false narratives, shift blame, or simply LIE on others, they can prevent possible relationships and much needed love and healing, while causing depression, anxiety and other mental health issues for others. DONT BE A STORYTELLER.
Storytellers are jealous, bitter, miserable and afraid. THEY ARE AFRAID because we are comfortable in our skin. THEY ARE AFRAID because we have nothing to hide. They are threatened by our self-confidence. We are accused of lying because we may miss a few details or omit parts of OUR story.. What the storytellers fail to comprehend is we are unapologetic, comfortable in our skin… healed from our hurts and forgiven by God. The part we omit, is to PROTECT THEM. the lies they tell, is to DESTROY US…WE ARE DIFFERENT! Create your own narrative, and DON’T BE A STORYTELLER, and give a false narrative of someone else’s life. Be a STORYTELLER OF YOUR OWN LIFE.
