God’s Power will Withstand the Enemy

HAPPY, HAPPY, SUNDAY!!! I’m Praying that everyone is having a great Sunday. It is a beautiful day to be alive! Although this is true every day, some days, the difficulties stare me in the face so boldly, that the beauty of those days are sometimes difficult to see. This challenge is faced by many, yet they feel alone because, the stigma that still exists has many people unable to show their vulnerabilities. They fear the repercussions of being their true selves. Therefore, rarely do many disclose to others what they are truly going through.

Because my struggles have made me empathetic to the feelings of others, it pains me to see others hurting and battling alone. One of the similarities that depression and addiction has is that a major setback or life altering event can literally take you from on top of the world to underneath it. It is, therefore, imperative that there are solid people in your corner who support, understand and never judge. The bottom line though, is you’ll never really understand unless you’ve been there. If you’ve been there, be there for others, because this journey is not for the weak, nor is it to be traveled alone.

Just as I need a push sometimes, others need a push as well. I received a much-needed push this weekend, and I am thankful, because it allowed me to have an awesome weekend. Even with all that continues to happen to test my faith, I am THANKFUL. The enemy continues to do everything to destroy me mentally, physically, and spiritually. He will use anything in his power to destroy you, but my God is more powerful than the enemy! He has countered every trick the enemy has thrown.

Keep battling guys. Don’t ever think about throwing in the towel. Keep your faith, even in the midst of your storm, and God will give you all you need to withstand.

I am a recently single mother of four wonderful adult children. I love young people and have a passion for developing and motivating people. After spending over thirty years in the customer service industry, and my world was suddenly turned upside down, I found myself having to start my life over. Realizing that I could no longer maintain a healthy mental state while working with the public, I decided to use my passion for helping people and motivating US to turn our PAIN INTO POWER.
