When I say I’m Blessed, I’m never referring to material things like clothing, houses, cars or money. I’m not even referring to where I go, the things I do or the places I’ve been. My blessings are referring to my true friends and family who love and support me…those who go all out for me. My blessings refer to my opportunities for new beginnings and the life I have each day.

I am blessed because when I look in the mirror 🪞 I don’t see what I’ve been through. I’m blessed that I still have the sparkle of love and life in my eyes. God has seen me through every step of the way and protected my mind, body, and spirit while the enemy attempted to destroy me. I’m blessed because eventhough my body is aging and riddled with pain, I can still show up daily and be the BAD ASS that God created me to be.

I’m blessed…I’m favored…I’m thankful because even when life beats me down, even when the world and the people in it aren’t fair, I choose to be kind. I choose love. I refuse to allow others to dictate my being happy. Regardless of my situations or circumstances, I will do what I can to find blessings in all things. No matter what the world throws my way, I’m going to continue to be thankful, and KEEP GOING no matter what, because each day that I open my eyes, I know there’s more life that I have left to live.

You too, must keep going. LET YOUR SMILE BE YOUR UMBRELLA, BRING YOUR OWN SUNSHINE, AND LET YOUR SMILE REACH YOUR EYES! DONT GIVE UP!
