Day 25 of Mental Health Awareness Month:
One thing we must come to terms with, is that our healing is a slow process, and our recovery is ongoing. We all are in need of something; even those of us who are providing to others. We are all different. For this reason, we have to discern, for ourselves, if our assignment is from God.
Because I know that God is calling me, I go where there is a need. I dont’ care who it is, or where it is, whatever the need, I want to help. Truthfully, I am in need of so many things…we all are. Many believe that we are incapable of helping others if we are in need. The fact is, it is because of my need, that I love to see others thrive. I believe that if we all waited until we had all that we needed…if we all waited until someone else stepped up…if we all waited to be asked, no one would EVER get the help that they truly need. Knowing how it is to be in need, AND always being loved enough to have been helped, is why I want to serve others. God has always made a way for me; therefore, I must answer His call to help make a way for others.
While I value the opinions of others, I listen for God’s voice during my assignments. I know that He will make a way, if an assignment is truly for me. I encourage everyone to pray for discernment. This will allow you to choose doing what God has CALLED you to do, over what PEOPLE have TOLD you to do. It is important to care for ourselves. We must stay healthy in mind, body, and spirit in order to help others. We cannot, however, wait for some ‘perfect life‘ to do so. Perfection will never come. Proverbs 11:25 “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” I believe that God will equip us to do His work.
Together, let’s love, heal, help and serve one another. It’s time to LOVE EACH OTHER BACK TO LIFE. I need your help!!!
I have a girlfriend who is sick. I am trying to Love Her Back To LIFE. She is not doing well. She has lost the use of her limbs, and has to relearn the basics. More importantly, she has to find the will to live. Please help me Love MY GGGF Back To LIFE. My girlfriend is married, but sometimes it takes a village. None of us can do things alone, and we all have different circumstances. I appreciate those who have helped, and I thank those who have helped in the past. Only those who have experienced true need, will appreciate, and understand, the needs of others.
