BEWARE OF THE ENEMY

IT’S TRUST GOD Tuesday. Let’s use today to lean on God for all of our worries.

Brothers and Sisters, please know, that whenever there is an attempt for positive change, the enemy will come to seek, kill, and destroy. He will use our weaknesses against us, in order to destroy any healthy relationships we have. It’s our job to stay focused on our goal of continuing to build strong relationships. With this being the case, we must ALWAYS set ourselves apart from others.

We must realize, that in order to build any strong and healthy relationship, we must have EFFECTIVE communication; requiring ACTIVE LISTENING, as well as, respectful dialog. If we refuse to empathize with the feelings of others, we lose the ability to effectively communicate, because we only see our side. As a result, we begin to invalidate what we don’t comprehend.

While we all come from various walks of life, how we show up, TODAY, is what matters. We are called to love, encourage, build up, and RESPECTFULLY, and CONSTRUCTIVELY, criticize one another, in love. When we ignore, and invalidate, the feelings of those we love, we allow the enemy to use us, rather than using our gifts from God.

We should forever, keep at the forefront of our minds, that we are all equally important, and have something to offer. Although we have various skills, gifts, and abilities, WE ARE ALL CHILDREN OF GOD, and deserve respect. We are all Kings and Queens, in the eyes of God; imperfections included. WE CAN ALL SING TOGETHER, but in order to be on one accord, we cannot speak together. Therefore, we must listen to one another, empathize with the struggles of each other, and oftentimes, agree to disagree. What we cannot do, is be dismissive and/or insensitive.

On this Tuesday, as we prepare for Thanksgiving, let us place all relationships at God’s feet. Let us all pray for the struggles we have spoken about out loud, and the things that only God knows about. Ask God to protect the family unit, and all who seek healthy relationships, from the destruction of the enemy, and protect the mental, physical, and spiritual health, of anyone who is under attack.

As I go about the rest of my day, I am reminded of a song we sang, often, from elementary through high school:

Today, this song will be on my heart, as I take The Kingdom back to God. Together, let’s lift each other up in prayer, and love one another the way God’s calls us to, and stay focused on our Purpose. May each of us do our part to keep the enemy under our feet, and never succumb to the enemy’s trick of division. TOGETHER, WE WILL WIN!
