During a time, when much of the world is going through many struggles, I find that the shame of what others think and feel, has muted a lot of individuals. As a result, too many are suffering from mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety, but failing to seek help.
This post is a MENTAL HEALTH CHECK
In the comments, please let me know if you are mentally well. If you are not ok, if you’re not comfortable with being in the comments, please inbox me if you need an ear to listen, and shoulder to lean on, or simply, are ready to admit that you are not ok. Always remember, transparency leads to growth and healing. If we are open, and share our hurts, we never know who may be helpful through their experiences.
As the holidays quickly approah, many of us are fighting to stay alive. Some are grieving due to losses, and new family dynamics, others are depressed due to financial struggles and job loss, and even more are simply, lonely.
As God fearing people, we are called to love others, and uplift those who are poor in spirit. As we move forward into the end of a difficult year, I challenge us all to speak up if you need help, and reach out to someone whom you see in need.
Let’s get through the holidays together. Check on those you know are having a rough time, and comment to let me know, WHAT IS YOUR STATE OF MIND? YOU ARE LOVED, AND NEVER ALONE.
