Being a caregiver is a stressful, sometimes thankless, yet, rewarding job. I absolutely love being a part of someone else’s mental, physical and/or spiritual healing. The downside to caring for others, is bonding with an amazing soul, and having to watch them transition into the final phase of life, or witnessing them experience pain, that you can’t fix.
Most often, we pray for the individual who is in need of healing, but more times than not, we forget to pray for the strength of the caregiver. To every person reading this, who has ever had to care for someone that they loved, or developed a bond with: I SEE YOU. I SEE YOUR HURT. I SEE YOUR WORRY. I SEE YOUR EXHAUSTION. Most importantly, God sees you. You are Amazing, and I want you to keep going. You are appreciated, and you will receive your just reward.
S/N : I am more than appreciative of my caregivers. This journey of healing that I’ve been on for the past six years, has been difficult. Between back surgery, a mental breakdown, chronic pain, Covid, pneumonia twice, a broken spirit, and now hip surgery, My professional and personal care teams have been amazing. The way my loved ones and friends have pulled together to love me back to life has been nothing but amazing. As I continue to heal, I will forever be greatful to each of you who has contributed in my care and well-being. I KNOW IM NOT THE EASIEST PERSON IN THE WORLD WHEN IM NOT WELL, and I’m sure that I got on your nerves. Nonetheless, you loved me through it all.
HAVE AN AMAZING DAY ON PURPOSE.
GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!
