BLOCK THE REJECTION

HAPPY MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH!

Day 25: Rejection affects our mental health.

We may not want to acknowledge it, but rejection, being turned down, unsupported,  and not invited, negatively affects our mental health. For many people, not being invited or being rejected,  often brings about feelings of inadequacy.

Because so many people associate popularity with social status, not being included, brings about feelings of loneliness, sadness, and not being enough. The problem with all of this, is that we hurt our own feelings. We allow people to repeatedly mistreat us, reject us, not invite us, not show up for us, yet we keep waiting for them to do something different.  These people don’t need to change; we do.

We have to stop asking people who never show up for us, to SHOW UP FOR US. We must change how we think, who we are allowing in our circle, change our circles, and stop begging for love, acceptance, time, commitment, loyalty, and supportWhen we change our actions we prevent the negative actions others to affect our mental health.

We must begin to take charge of our happiness, and stop waiting for others to do something.  People show you how they feel about you when they never show up. We must ignore the excuses, wipe the tears, block 🚫 the number and wait for who God is sending us.

If we have anyone in our phone that we can’t depend on to show up for us, they are taking up space in our phone and our lives. We must block 🚫 them and change our life.

On this last week of Mental Health Awareness Month, we must change the people who make us question their love, their purpose in our life, their commitment to us..HECK, THEY PROBABLY DON’T EVEN LIKE US.  It’s time for us to CHOOSE JOY. LET’S MAKE A CHANGE.

Defy the Stigma!

I am a recently single mother of four wonderful adult children. I love young people and have a passion for developing and motivating people. After spending over thirty years in the customer service industry, and my world was suddenly turned upside down, I found myself having to start my life over. Realizing that I could no longer maintain a healthy mental state while working with the public, I decided to use my passion for helping people and motivating US to turn our PAIN INTO POWER.
