Simply Thankful

Today was a good day. There was nothing exciting, but I experienced minimal pain. In addition, I was successful with the business I had to attend to. On top of that, I finally made it to choir rehearsal, and it went well. I dreaded going, but it wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be.

Most people base how their day goes by excitement, financial progress or receiving something. For me, I am SIMPLY THANKFUL just for experiencing peace and the gift of life. These things alone, are reasons for me to be thankful.

On this beautiful Thursday, I am thankful for peace.  With life being so fragile,  there is nothing that I take for granted.  Things as simple as peace, love, joy and hope are all I need. As difficult as life can be…even in my struggles…I am excited to simply, be alive.  Waking up without being in pain is a blessing.  I’ve been in so much pain, and for so long, that I am thankful, for simply being able to navigate through my day…pain free. There have been times when I thought I was dying; the pain was unbearable. Awakening another day, is simply a blessing from God.

I am thankful for being able to spend the day with my mom…even the inconvenient parts of my day…even the frustrating parts.  I am thankful for being well enough, and motivated enough, to follow through with everything I needed to face today. As I look forward to my birthday, I insist that I will live each day to the fullest, and graciously appreciate each day, that I am blessed  to do it all again.

Whatever took place in your life today; no matter how big or small and no matter how things turned out…Don’t give up. Keep believing. Keep pushing, and SIMPLY BE THANKFUL for every blessing.  Your breakthrough is coming.

Have an amazing night, and don’t forget to be Thankful on this Thursday.

Defy the Stigma!

I am a recently single mother of four wonderful adult children. I love young people and have a passion for developing and motivating people. After spending over thirty years in the customer service industry, and my world was suddenly turned upside down, I found myself having to start my life over. Realizing that I could no longer maintain a healthy mental state while working with the public, I decided to use my passion for helping people and motivating US to turn our PAIN INTO POWER.
