Pilgrimage 2025

What a beautiful Self-love Self-care Saturday this turned out to be. I went on my first pilgrimage in honor of the Catholic church’s 50th Jubilee year. Falling deeper in love with God and spending a day in prayer with my church family, definitely made today enjoyable.

Today’s Pilgrimage was a spiritual journey that reminded me of why we are here. In my suffering, I am reminded that life is simply a journey. Journeys require movement. Throughout our lives, we are constantly moving, we are intended to grow, change, advance, age, and eventually, die. It is a part of life’s process that we can’t avoid.

As I journeyed today, to Cumberland, Maryland, to our pilgrimage site, my thoughts were of nothing other than my mental, physical, and spiritual growth. I focused on loving ❤️ myself more by falling deeper in love with God.

As you love yourself today, don’t forget about God. He can be found anywhere throughout your Christian journey. He’s with us during our good times; with every mountain top experience. He’s even with us during our challenges; our wilderness and valley experiences.

Today’s experience, during this Jubilee year, was beautiful. God was in our midst. This pilgrimage was an experience I will always remember. I’m looking forward to going on another pilgrimage one day. My goal is to continue to move throughout my christian journey, loving myself more, and searching for better ways to serve God’s people. My desire is to grow closer to God, while continuing to work on my healing. During the bus ride to Cumberland, I enjoyed the fellowship during the journey. As we celebrated mass, I was proud; I smiled. This pilgrimage solidified my confidence, that God calls us to be pilgrim people, and so it shall be.

I am a recently single mother of four wonderful adult children. I love young people and have a passion for developing and motivating people. After spending over thirty years in the customer service industry, and my world was suddenly turned upside down, I found myself having to start my life over. Realizing that I could no longer maintain a healthy mental state while working with the public, I decided to use my passion for helping people and motivating US to turn our PAIN INTO POWER.
