A MANIC MONDAY

Story Time, Short version:

Mobility pick up is 11:53am for my 1:15pm dr. appointment. The movers pull up, and I have to get ready(they were late). I stay in the shower until they leave because I realized I’ve packed all of my underwear. As I’m walking around in my birthday suit, looking for underwear, it nears my pick up time. I rush to get dressed (moving like I’m 80 because my hip and back are on fire). Finally, I’m dressed, and Mobility is on time, of course.πŸ™„ As I get ready to leave, I look down and see that I still have on one red furry slipper, and one blue Coach slipper, and two left feetπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚; a result of can’t find anything among all of this stuff. Smh. As I rush to put on the shoes πŸ‘ž πŸ‘Ÿ they are nowhere to be found….THE MOVERS TOOK THEM TO STORAGE. At this point, Mobility has been waiting for 4 min (they leave after 5). Now I’m nervous, stomach starts bubbling, I’m sweating…IYKYK. Clearly, the only shoes out of 100+ pairs, are the pair on my feet.πŸ€”πŸ˜¬2 things are for sure: 1. GOD HAS A SENSE OF HUMORπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ 2. He is always on time.

Just as I was about to walk out of the door looking like a crazy person, I see a lonely box. BEHOLD! I FIND A PAIR OF SHOES THAT ARE SUPPORTIVE FOR MY ACHING BACK, AND THEY MATCH MY OUTFIT. WIN/WIN. IT WAS ABOUT TO BE A CATASTROPHE IN TOWSON. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I thank God that I have a sense of humor, I thank God that He’s always on time, I thank God for His lessons in the midst of the craziness (I HAVE TOO MUCH unnecessary stuff), and I thank Him for getting me sidetracked, so that I forgot to pack this one pair of shoes in the box. Moral of the story: Life is what you make it. We can stress about the little things, or we can laugh at ourselves. Through everything I’m dealing with today, I choose to fight through (even while feeling like giving up) the storm. Even while I shed tears from exhaustion, fear of the unknown, frustration, pain, etc. I choose to keep smiling, keep loving, keep pushing, and keep trusting God.

I hope this made you laugh because I laughed at myself. I hope this made you realize that there are bigger things for you to worry about, so just keep smiling, be positive, and watch God work.

Have a Magnificent Monday on Purpose!

GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO I!

Defy the Stigma!

I am a recently single mother of four wonderful adult children. I love young people and have a passion for developing and motivating people. After spending over thirty years in the customer service industry, and my world was suddenly turned upside down, I found myself having to start my life over. Realizing that I could no longer maintain a healthy mental state while working with the public, I decided to use my passion for helping people and motivating US to turn our PAIN INTO POWER.
