My Transition Day 7:
Already, it’s been a week since my displacement. Honestly, it doesn’t seem that long. Aside from the heat, I have no complaints. Oh, and the fact that I miss my babies. I haven’t seen my Sweet Potato in three weeks, and I haven’t seen Snickerdoodle in one week. Other than these inconveniences, I’ve been managing pretty well. For this past week, I’ve come to many conclusions; one being that UNCOMFORTABILITY IS A PART OF THE PROCESS.
Each day thus far, over this past week, I’ve managed to accomplish something. Yesterday, I accomplished a few things, and even made progress with action items for the Women’s Ministry. I’ve been doing all I can to remain busy; so far, it’s worked. As I make the best of my current situation, each day, I attempt to complete an item on my TO DO list. Proudly, I have been able to remain positive, even in not so positive circumstances. Again, I’ve learned that UNCOMFORTABILITY IS A PART OF THE PROCESS.
As I attempted to journal yesterday, I had a bout of feeling unwell during the later part of the day, and failed to post. Not eating properly has been difficult. As a result, I fell ill . Today, however, I am feeling much better, and for that, I’m thankful. Not knowing when I’d be able to have steady shelter was an uneasy feeling; making me anxious. Now that I have an actual move in date for my new place, I feel a sense of calm. However, the anxiety of literally, starting over with nothing, is still present. Regardless of what I have or don’t have, I am excited and greatful. Most of all, no matter what, I have humbly accepted, that sometimes, UNCOMFORTABILITY IS A PART OF THE PROCESS OF BECOMING COMFORTABLE.
Wherever you are in your journey, learn to be okay with the uncomfortable situations that may arise. They are God’s way of preparing you to become comfortable. Pay attention; we are about to walk into the best season of our lives. Let’s prepare for a smooth transition.
Have a Happy Thankful Thursday, on Purpose. Please continue to pray for me as I continue to trust God through this process. Together, we can heal.
