My FAITH Is Stronger Than My FEARS

As I wind down for the evening, in preparation for tomorrow’s surgery, I am fearful of the unknown. Not being able to communicate with my children, prior to surgery, makes me uneasy. Not knowing what will happen, and the inability to control the outcome, has caused my anxiety to kick in. My fear has me in a chokehold, but my faith has set me free.

My fear opens the door for worry, but my faith comforts me. As I prepare to go, yet again, into the unknown, I am comforted. I remember the many times before, that God saved me, defended me, and brought me through. Although my fear cripples me, my faith restores me. The saying goes, “if you’re going to worry, don’t pray. If you’re going to pray, don’t worry “. My experience tells me that both (faith and fear) can simultaneously exist.

When our human nature kicks in, we naturally, become anxious; however, when we remember the goodness of God, and how he’s brought us through, our faith supercedes all fear…doubt…anxiety. These faithless things are replaced with peacehope, joy, and an unwavering love for God. Tonight, in everything I feel, I am thankful, and at peace because I know that God has protected me many times before, and this time He will do it again. Because of who God has been in my life, MY FAITH IS STRONGER THAN MY FEARS”.

The Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”

Defy the Stigma!

I am a recently single mother of four wonderful adult children. I love young people and have a passion for developing and motivating people. After spending over thirty years in the customer service industry, and my world was suddenly turned upside down, I found myself having to start my life over. Realizing that I could no longer maintain a healthy mental state while working with the public, I decided to use my passion for helping people and motivating US to turn our PAIN INTO POWER.
