Forever Humble

As I sit here, I reflect on the past five days. I thoroughly enjoyed bringing in my 55th birthday πŸŽ‚ in Puerto Rico πŸ‡΅πŸ‡· while still being amongst friends. My ‘girls trip’ was fun, relaxing, and much needed. Already, I am looking for destinations for next year.

While I did a lot of laughing, I quietly shed tears. Unlike many times before, the tears I shed were those of joy and thanks. In a world where many people are dying in floods, car accidents and plane crashes, I am thankful that I arrived safely to and from my destinations. During these difficult times when many can barely afford food and shelter (I too am struggling), I am greatful for the opportunity to travel. God saw made it all possible. During a time when so many are alone, I recognize the blessings of having friends and family to celebrate me. To some, these things seem small, but to me, they are a big deal; I take nothing for granted.

As the days go by, and I restart my daily routines, I will reminisce about all of the fun I had in Puerto Rico. I will tell stories to others about my experiences, and what I did on my birthday trip. The thing I’ll talk about the most is how blessed and thankful I am for the experience. I will forever remain humble about all that God is doing in my life, because I remember when the basics were impossible. I will forever be thankful and humble; confident, but never cocky or conceited.

Thank you God for the not so simple pleasures in life. Without you, these things would be impossible.

Defy the Stigma!

I am a recently single mother of four wonderful adult children. I love young people and have a passion for developing and motivating people. After spending over thirty years in the customer service industry, and my world was suddenly turned upside down, I found myself having to start my life over. Realizing that I could no longer maintain a healthy mental state while working with the public, I decided to use my passion for helping people and motivating US to turn our PAIN INTO POWER.
